The County Council is the executive body of the GPSD, which consists of
a number of elected and appointed members representing the diverse
constituencies participating in local Green activities.
- There are three types of
County Council members: Elected at-large representatives
are elected by the
registered Green voters through the countywide primary elections held
every even year. The term of office is two years. There are seven
at-large seats on the Council.
Local representatives are elected by the
members of the Green
Locals and Clubs recognized by the GPSD. The term of office is one year
(or until November 30th, whichever comes first). There is one seat on
the Council for each recognized Local or Club.
General Membership representatives are
elected by the General
Membership. The term of office is one year (or until November 30th,
whichever comes first). There are ten General Membership seats on the
Council.
Co-Chair:
- Calling, opening and
adjourning General Membership and County Council meetings
- Authenticating position papers and policy
statements of the SDGP
- Acting as a general spokesperson for the Green
Party of San Diego County
Secretary:
- Taking and distributing
minutes of all meetings
- Maintaining all GPSD official documents
- Acting as the conduit to the County Council
Treasurer:
- Maintaining the financial
accounts of the GPSD

Contacts: - Acting as the conduit
for contact with the news media
Membership
Coordinator and County Contact: -
Maintaining lists of GPSD members and registered Green voters within
the County

individuals interested in participating in local Green activities.
