Guest Speaker: DEAN CALBREATH - Book Signing
Co-author of "The Wrong Stuff: The Extraordinary Saga of Randy 'Duke' Cunningham, the Most Corrupt Congressman Ever Caught."
Dean Calbreath is an award-winning reporter for The San Diego Union
-Tribune. In 2005 and 2006, he was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning
team that uncovered the bribery scheme of former Rep. Randy "Duke"
Cunningham. Because of the team's effort, Cunningham is now spending
eight years in jail for taking at least $2.4 million in bribes.
Their book "The Wrong Stuff: The Extraordinary Saga of Randy 'Duke'
Cunningham, the Most Corrupt Congressman Ever Caught" not only details
the decline and fall of Randy Cunningham but also takes a look at the
entire military-industrial-Congressional complex and how Congress
members earmark legislation to benefit specific businesses that
contribute money to their campaigns.
Calbreath came to San Diego in 1997 after four years in Prague , where
he wrote for the European edition of The Wall Street Journal and
Business Central Europe, a publication owned by London 's Economist
magazine. He has spent more than 30 years in journalism, He currently
specializes in the economy, international trade and the economy and the
confluence between government and business.

The Ranchita Rocks event will be held on Golightly Farms Ranch in Ranchita, CA on September 28th, 29th & 30th, 2007.
This is a fundraising event to support the efforts of the Protect
Our Communities Fund which is aimed at preserving San Diego's
backcountry and stopping SDG&E's Sunrise Powerlink. This is a green
event. Please respect the environment.
Come for the music, enjoy San Diego's backcountry.
