RALPH NADER IN SAN DIEGO THURSDAY TO SPEAK ON STATE'S ENERGY CRISIS
SAN DIEGO - Green Party Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader - in one of his few public appearances since the November election - will speak at the University of California, San Diego (Price Center Ballroom) Thursday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Similar engagements on campuses during the presidential campaign drew tens of thousands of people - the largest of any presidential candidate last Fall.
Mr. Nader is scheduled to speak on "Deregulated Greed: A California Crisis," dealing with the issues of energy deregulation, according to the Green Party of San Diego, which is sponsoring his appearance.
Also appearing with Mr. Nader are Medea Benjamin, the Green Party U.S. Senate candidate last year; Jim Hightower, controversial radio host and Robert Nanninga, environmental writer.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $25 at the door. For students and seniors, tickets are $10 and $15 at the door. Tickets are available through the UCSD Box Office (858.534-4559) or through Ticketmaster (619.220-TIXS).
