MEDIA WORKING GROUP

PROPOSAL: to establish the Media Working Group.
The purpose of this group is to develop and coordinate a media campaign and strategy within San Diego County  to provide alternative news sources and to help get the Green message and issues discussed.

The initial facilitator for the group would be Karine Megerdoomian until a coordinator has been elected by the group members.


BACKGROUND:
A number of interested Greens agreed couple of weeks ago that there is a need for a media campaign, especially in the San Diego region. The group members are looking into talking to other progressive organizations in San Diego county and to try and form a bigger media group coalition. The main goal is to bring alternative voice into the community, through paper medai, TV and radio. We would like to begin with a monthly newspaper focusing on issues and then hopefully grow into a weekly, daily...
